Igniting Your Journey

Introduction
Passion is such a crucial part of this creative endeavor we call writing? Because it’s the fuel that propels pens across pages and fingers across keyboards. It’s because writing isn’t just about stringing words together, it’s about tapping into our innermost thoughts, beliefs and aspirations and filling up a blank page or screen.
Passion is so important to your writing because it will align with my purpose and goals and keep you and sustained throughout your journey.
Connect Writing to Your Purpose
Writing is great for self-discovery and expression. You have the power to make your dreams a reality and your aspirations into achievements if you put forth the effort. You may be writing about a cause close to your heart, trying to advance in your day job, or simply sharing your story with the world. Writing will help you grow personally and professionally.
You can use your words to influence how people think and make life decisions. Aim to leave a lasting and positive impression on your readers.
Write About What Excites You
Passion flourishes when you write about topics you care about. I care about writing, health and self-improvement, those are the subjects I could write about everyday nonstop with enthusiasm.
Instead of forcing yourself to write topics that are boring to you, stick to your passions. If you’re bored writing it, imagine how your readers feel. If your writing isn’t informative and entertaining you may never get the chance to waste their time again.
Writing about what excites you will add authenticity to your words and that will resonate with people.
Find Inspiration
I find inspiration to spark my creativity from books and social media posts I read, podcasts or audiobooks I listen to and the YouTube videos I watch. I keep my phone or notebook near me at all times just to capture a sentence that I found interesting.
Sometimes I end up using it to write a blog post or tweet. Of course I add my personal experience to it and there I have a potential masterpiece.
Set Achievable Goals
Passion provides that initial spark but consistency and perseverance keeps the fire blazing.
Set realistic and attainable goals for yourself. Make sure they align with your aspirations and life’s purpose. If you have large projects that you want to work on like launching a course or writing a book, break it down into manageable tasks. This will help you make steady progress and not get overwhelmed.
If you get stressed you will quit. We are Fearless Writers, we don’t quit, we regroup, we pivot, we do not give. Writing a journey, for me personally, it’s the job that I will never retire from.
Remember that every step forward brings you closer to your destination.
Celebrate Your Progress
Throughout your writing journey, don’t forget to pause and celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. At my good government job, we used to receive certificates and time off. Sometimes we even receive monetary incentives. Since I’m working for myself now I guess I can treat myself with a new tablet or some other thing I have been wanting to purchase but have put it off for whatever reason.
You can celebrate any achievement like completing a draft, receiving positive feedback, or hitting your daily word count. Every milestone you hit is worthy of acknowledgment. Create a gratitude mindset and appreciate your progress. keep yourself motivated to continue on your writing journey.
Conclusion
As you embark on this journey of yours, remember that passion is your GPS, purpose is fuel and perseverance is your “Heavy Chevy” or whatever vehicle of your choice. Keep writing about the things that interest you in a way that will keep you readers engaged.
Never forget to celebrate your achievements. You and I as writers need all of the motivation we can get. You started on this journey, make it worth every mile.
